OrderGrid Q1 Product Update: Building Smarter, Faster, and More Scalable Operations

At OrderGrid, Q1 has been all about unlocking new value for our customers—faster picking, smarter forecasting, scalable integrations, and powerful new tools for grocers, food retailers, and beyond. Here's a look at what we’ve shipped and how it’s already making an impact.

🧠 Core Product Enhancements

✅ Substitutions V1.2 – Smarter, Seamless Replacements

We’ve completed a full overhaul of the substitution picking flow. Pickers now see real-time replacement options and quantities in bins, streamlining decisions and reducing errors. The new UI enhances understocking resilience, improves order fulfillment rates, and drives higher customer satisfaction.

❄️ Fridge Replenishment – Cold Chain, Simplified

Now live in Ireland, this feature allows for effortless movement of items into chilled bins. The result: better inventory control, reduced labor costs, and higher profitability for our partners handling temperature-sensitive goods.

📱 Camera Barcode Scanner – Hardware-Free Warehousing & Store Operations

We’ve gone fully mobile. All warehouse flows now support camera-enabled barcode scanning, removing the need for Zebra devices. This dramatically cuts onboarding costs and boosts scalability for growing operations.

⚙️ Express Picking Configuration – Fully Customizable Picking

Clients can now fully tailor the picking process to their unique needs. Whether it's priority-based, zone picking, or high-volume express flows—OrderGrid adapts to you.

📦 Receiving V2: Item Menu Listing Status

Say goodbye to shared barcode confusion. Receiving flow now shows listing status for every item, reducing stock errors to <1% and virtually eliminating waste from incorrect receiving.

⚙️ Platform Product Advances

🔁 Transactions Handling

Our new orchestrator now supports high-throughput order processing—over 200 orders/second, with theoretical capacity of 700K/hour. Already live with our largest customers, with Store API expansion underway.

🧪 A/B Feature Flags

We introduced a robust feature flag system, now in use by all dev teams. It enables controlled rollouts and broader experimentation for faster innovation within our warehouse management flows (ie picking, receiving, cycle counting).
